My name is Erin Curtis and your company responded to a 911 call to my house on November 17. I had been stabbed multiple times by husband and I owe my life to you. I don't know who any of you are, which I wish to meet you some day, but without you, I wouldn't be here. A thank you is not enough to give you for what you have given me, but at least you know how much you are appreciated by so many people. Because of you, my children still have their mother and my parents still have their daughter. Thank you!

I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THE BEAUTIFUL BANQUET HELD ON FEB. 14, 2009. I HAVE SHARED WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS, THE AMAZING VIDEO YOU PRESENTED DURING THE CEREMONY DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF MY BROTHER, BILL SCHROM.
MY BROTHER BILL'S GREATEST LOVE WAS THE HUNTINGTOWN VOLUNTEER FIRE AND RESCUE COMPANY 6 AND WE THANK YOU FOR AGAIN FOR SUCH A GREAT TRIBUTE TO BILL. IT HAS TOUCHED OUR LIVES IMMENSELY AND I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE IT!
I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO KNEW HIM FOR THEIR FRIENDSHIP AND SUPPORT. I PRAY EACH TIME A FIRE CALL GOES OUT FOR ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS AT ALL FIRE HOUSES. I BELIEVE BROTHER BILL WILL STILL BE RIDING SHOTGUN WITH YA'LL, WATCHING OVER AND PROTECTING YOU, AND HOPING YOU HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO MUNCH ON WHEN YOU GET BACK TO THE "HOUSE"!
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS ALL OF THE BEAUTIFUL AND DEDICATED PEOPLE FROM CO. 6. Barbara Brady and Family
My name is Daniel Staudinger and I am 24 years old. I work for the Defence
Force in Finland as a military police, I am also a trained firefighter and
the leader of the fire and rescue force on my base in southern Finland.
I started my career in 1997 with Grankulla volunteer fire brigade near
Helsinki, the capital of Finland at the age of 12. And continued with the
youth
fire brigade since I was 18 years and could go along on emergencies and
incidents responce. I started my studies in the fire and rescue academy here
in
Finland in 2006 and graduated in the autumn of 2007. Before this I have
worked
for North Star Fire Department in Alaska USA during the summer of 2006 and I
have also trained firefighters from Monrovia, Liberia`s capital city in
Western
Africa for the United nations.
I am very interested in international co-working in the fire, rescue and EMS
jobs. I have worked for the defence force/navy for 2 years and during that
time
I have completed several training programs. Among those : working safely on
heights / specialicing in explosives and EOD-1(explosives ordonance disposal
operator) , Hazmat and water rescue.
In Finland we work in extremly cold conditions during the winters so I would
amagine water rescue being more pleasing in Australia.
However my question for you is if there is a possibility for an exchange
program with the Huntingtown VFD during the late summer/ autumn of this year 2009,
it
would be a great challenge for me personally and coming in contact with your
fire and rescue culture would be amazing.
I will provide any detailed information about me and my certificates along
with a sponsorship letter from my chief if one is needed.
Best and cold winter regards from Finland,
StaffSgt. Daniel Staudinger

Our department is looking for a 3000 gallon tanker. I noticed you were going to get a new tanker to replace the Pierce tanker. Do you have an idea of what you would ask for the tanker?
Thanks

Hi. I am the next door neighbor to Phillip Newman. Probably most of you know Phillip and his love of fire trucks, fire houses, etc.
I've set up a Facebook page for Phillip and if any of you use Facebook, you know it would mean the world to him if you'd add him and give him a shout out every now and again.
it greets you Henry.J

Thank you to all who were on the scene of my husband's motorcycle accident at Ponds Wood & Hardesty Rd. in the early hours of 8/21/08. Mark was released from CMH after a couple of hours and is home. He's pretty banged up and has a broken tibia, but will be just fine with orthopaedic assistance. Each and every one of you on the scene were professional and caring. Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. I'm hoping the lady that called me from her cell phone reads this - if you're out there, I think your name was Linda, thank you. To all, our faith in people has been restored. You are what makes this area the wonderful place that it is - thank you for all you do.

I just want to take the time and personally thank each and every one of the volunteers for what you do everyday. Your station responded to a woods fire behind my home about a month back, that was started by my 14yr old son while playing with paper and lighter fluid. If it weren't for your quick response we would not have a home to live in right now as we have a buried propane tank close to where the fire was started. I stopped by the station, but know that I was not able to personally thank each member for their part in the timely response. Thank you again from the bottom of our heart.
