Join the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department
Our volunteers play an essential role in protecting and supporting our community. We’re looking for dedicated, motivated individuals to help us provide exceptional fire/rescue and emergency medical response services to our neighbors in times of need.
The Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad (HVFD) is actively recruiting men and women ages 16 and older in good physical condition who wish to serve Huntingtown and surrounding areas in the capacity of firefighters and/or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
We are also always recruiting Auxiliary Members to contribute in the areas of fundraising, public relations, public education, and administrative assistance.
Basic Requirements
Do you have what it takes to become a volunteer with HVFD? Here are the minimum requirements to be an active member:
Minimum Membership requirements include: 6 drills and 6 meetings as well as respond to 100 calls and participate in 50 hours of collateral activities per year in order to maintain their membership.
