While members and their families from all over the county were enjoying Volunteer Appreciation Day at the fairgrounds, the 622 box for a garage fire was sounded. Brush 6, which had been responding to a call for the tree blocking a road, diverted and arrived on the scene first. Brush 6 ( S/O McKenny, A/C Morris) found smoke showing from the eaves and attic vents of a attached garage. Crews quickly deployed a line and extinguished the fire that was contained to the garage area. E62 arrived and deployed their cross lay to assist with wet down and overhaul. S6 assisted with overhaul and ventilation. Chief 5A(Sealey) had the Huntingtown Command.
