| While members and their families from all over the county were enjoying Volunteer Appreciation Day at the fairgrounds, the 622 box for a garage fire was sounded. Brush 6, which had been responding to a call for the tree blocking a road, diverted and arrived on the scene first. Brush 6 ( S/O McKenny, A/C Morris) found smoke showing from the eaves and attic vents of a attached garage.
