Wednesday May 4, 2011 at 1025 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6B (Thrasher), Chief 6C (Morris), Engine 62 (Rountree), Squad 6 (Montgomery Jr) and Tanker 6 (Lt Nasti), along with surrounding companies were alerted for the auto fire threatening a house. The Huntingtown Volunteers arrived on location and found the passenger compartment on fire inside a mini-van. The front bumper line was quickly deployed making quick work of the fire. Within one minute, the Box was held to Engine 62 only. Within 15 minutes, units from the Huntingtown VFD were returning to service.
