| Sunday May 1st, the 64th Annual SMVFA Parade was held in Solomons, Maryland. Days before, the members began an extensive cleaning of all the apparatus leading up to the events. Sunday morning, 18 members, Auxiliary members, and our family staffed practically every single piece of apparatus (Engine 61, Engine 62, Squad 6, Tanker 6, Brush 6, Jeep 6).
Engine 62 finished as 2nd best appearing Pumper. Thanks to all the dedicated Huntingtown VFD members, SMVFA, and Solomons VRSFD. Also, many thanks to our fellow brothers at the Ritchie VFD (Prince George's County) for filling-in with their Engine and to Grasonville VFD on the Eastern Shore for filling-in with their Rescue Squad.
During the parade, a dedicated crew remained in quarters for the Ambulance along with Chief 6, Chief 6A and Chief 6C.
