Saturday December 11, 2010 at 1657 hours, every piece of Huntingtown VFD apparatus was on the street for the Annual Santa Run when Box 212 was alerted for the RV fire at 1825 Squam Valley Lane bringing Chief 6A (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Montgomery Jr) and Squad 6 (Miller). First arriving units from the Prince Frederick VFD arrived on location with a fully involved 31' RV fire. The crew from Engine 61 arrived on location, supplied Engine 21, stretched a back-up line and assisted with knocking down all visible fire. Squad 6 was re-directed from this call to a serious auto accident with entrapment. Engine 61 operated until 1758 hours.
During the Santa Run, RV fire and serious auto accident, another crew from the Huntingtown VFD filled in at Dunkirk VFD (for their Annual Xmas party). During this time, they responded on a medical for chest pains. The patient went into cardiac arrest and was successfully revived by the Huntingtown Volunteers.
