| The Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of Dunkirk VFD Life Member Sonny Ladd Sr.
From Dunkirk VFD (www.dunkirk5.com):
Sonny played a big role with the DUNKIRK VOLUNTEERS on a daily basis. Sonny would start the day with his OWN pot of coffee, do some tinkering with whatever boat motor he had in the bed of his truck, brag about how he owned all of the "Crab Spots" in Southern Maryland, and of course drive the wheels off of the ever so famous DUNKIRK SEAGRAVES. Sonny might have passed a street or two in his days of driving, but if there was a yard close by he was sure to make his own running route through it. A very unique event to watch unfold!! Dunkirk Firehouse will not be the same without Sonny around.
Sonny was a very knowledgable and outgoing man, and he surely will be missed around the Firehouse. Theres not a replacement in the world for the spot that Sonny held in the Dunkirk Families hearts.
Arrangements are as follows: Viewing-Thursday 2-4/7-9 at Hardesty Funeral Home 905 Galesville Road, Galesville Md. Funeral -Friday 1100 at Centenary United Methodist Church 6248 Shadyside Road, Shadyside Md. |
