| This past Saturday October 9, 2010, the Huntingtown VFD held their 1st Annual Fire Prevention Day/Open House. Festivities began at 10 am and ended at 4 pm. Many children activities were held such as a dunk tank, a moon bounce, fire prevention booth, hoseline games, etc. Towards the end of the event and auto extrication demonstration took place for the public to view. In attendance were the County Commissioners and local media.
Many thanks to Lt Josh Buckler and the Fire Prevention Committee for all their hard work. Thanks to all the local businesses for their donations and advertising. Most importantly thanks to the citizens who stopped by and the 5 crews that manned the firehouse during this event.
