Sunday June 27, 2010 at 1800 hours, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Capt Collins) and Squad 6 (Osbourn) were alerted for smoke coming from the building in the Calvert Market Center (211 box). First arriving units reported smoke showing from the one-story strip mall. Engine 61 and Squad 6 arrived in the rear and worked with crews on extinguishing the small fire on top of the wood-shingle roof. Units from the Huntingtown VFD operated until 1845 hours.
