Friday June 18, 2010, the Huntingtown VFD was visited by local radio station Star 98.3 for "Firehouse Friday". Every Friday during the summer, Morning DJ's T-Bone and Heather visit different Fire Departments in the Southern Maryland Area to talk to the local firefighters and let the community know what we do. The membership explained what we do with firefighting and other community events. Included was the MAYDAY simulator that was recently built for the Huntingtown Volunteers, the Classic Corvette Contest and the Hall at Huntingtown. The Ladies Auxiliary had a large continental breakfast spread for all. The Fire Prevention Committee had a fire prevention booth set up and the Corvette Committee had a booth set up for the ticket raffle. Check out Star 98.3's web site at http://star983.com/
