10 minutes before midnight on Tuesday May 18, 2010, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6C (Morris) and Engine 61 (Williams) were alerted for the basement fire at 7750 Deforest Drive. First arriving units from the North Beach VFD arrived confirming a fire in the basement of a split foyer residence. This brought Engine 62 (Farrell) 1st due to the Working Fire Dispatch. The crew from Engine 61 arrived on location and split into two crews. One crew stretched a line to Division 1 to check for extension (negative), conducted a primary search (negative results) and horizontally ventilated. The 2nd crew laddered the roof and vertically ventilated. Units from the Huntingtown VFD operated until 0111 hours.
