Sunday May 2nd, the 63rd Annual SMVFA Parade was held in Mechanicsville, Maryland. Days before, the members began an extensive cleaning of all the apparatus leading up to the events. Sunday morning, 21 members, Auxiliary members, and our family staffed practically every single piece of apparatus (Engine 61, Engine 62, Squad 6, Tanker 6, Brush 6, Jeep 6 & Ambulance 68).
Tanker 6 placed 2nd for best appearing Tanker. Thanks to all the dedicated Huntingtown VFD members, SMVFA, and Mechanicsville VFD. Also, many thanks to our fellow brothers on the Eastern Shore for filling-in with their Pumper/Tanker/Rescue (Goodwill Volunteer Fire Company) and an Ambulance crew for Ambulance 69 (staffed by Denton Volunteer EMS).
