Tuesday December 22, 2009 (shortly after clearning a 1st due chimney fire) at 1944 hours, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6B (Thrasher), Chief 6C (Morris), Squad 6 (Lt Grierson) & Engine 62 (Bowen) were alerted for the auto accident in front of 1600 Emmanuel Church Road. In addition, North Beach VFD & Prince Frederick VRS were dispatched for their ambulances (Ambulance 69 was committed on another run). Units from the Huntingtown VFD arrived on the scene of a 2 vehicle T-bone collision with the driver trapped in a pick-up truck. The crew from Squad 6 went to work removing the drivers door with the 32" Jaws and flapping the roof for EMS crews. The patient was extricated and flown to a local trauma center. Engine 62 handled the Landing Zone and units cleared at 2033 hours.
