Congratulations to Huntingtown VFD Member and Newest DCFD Member
By Chief Jonathan Riffe
December 4, 2009
The officers and members of the Huntingtown VFD wish to congratulate member Alfred Jeffery. Shortly after joining our department, Al was hired as a recruit with the District of Columbia Fire & EMS Department. The academy began April 27 and he graduated this past Friday December 4, 2009. During this time period, the 17 students in Recruit Class 359 completed Firefighter I, Firefighter II, National Registry EMT-B, Haz Mat Ops and even traveled to Anniston Alabama for Weapons of Mass Destruction training.
In addition, Al's father (also a Huntingtown resident) is the Assistant Fire Chief of DCFD. Al's brother's (twins) are also members of the Huntingtown VFD. Good luck and stay safe in your prosperous career!
