| On October 11, 2009 at 1225 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Montgomery), Brush 6 (Farrell), and Ambulance 69 (Robison) were alerted for the unconscious person on Hillside Dr. At the same time, 9 of our members were at a house burning in Saint Leonard. The Huntingtown Volunteers, Prince Frederick Ambulance 49, and the Medic Unit arrived to find an 84 year old male pulseless and not breathing with 2 civilians performing CPR. Our members (with the assistance of Ambulance 49 and Medic 104) took over care, packaged the patient, and began the transport. Upon pulling onto Route 4, the patient regained a pulse and began breathing on his own. The patient continued breathing at the hospital and as Ambulance 69 was clearing, arrangements were being made to have the patient flown to Washington Hospital Center.
After several weeks at Washington Hospital Center, the patient returned home and is making a full recovery. Outstanding job to the Volunteers!!!
