By Assistant Chief Jonathan Riffe
March 5, 2005

While six members from Huntingtown were representing our department at Company 7's Annual Banquet and covering their Squad and Tanker on the south end, two crews remained at our station to cover the north end of the county. Shortly before midnight on March 5, 2005, Engine 61 (F/F Robinson) and Squad 6 (Lt Cox, D) were alerted along with Company 1 (North Beach), Company 15 (Navy Base), Company 5 (Dunkirk), and Company 2 (Prince Frederick) for the House Fire on Summer City Boulevard. Engine 151 (F/F Lusby) arrived first on the scene and found a dryer off along with extension to the room. Engine 151 made quick work of the fire with the assistance of Company 1. Command (Chief 1, Freesland) held Company 1, Engine 151, and Squad 6. Squad 6 remained on the scene for approximately one hour assisting with Overhaul. Interior was handled by Chief 1A (Ward).
