Monday July 20, 2009, shortly after 0800 hours, the North Beach VFD was alerted for the boat fire at the Breezy Point Marina. Upon their arrival, two boats were found to be fully-involved with extension to a 3rd back in the marsh. This prompted Chief 6B (Thrasher), Chief 6C (Morris) and Engine 62 (Nasti) to the call at 0825 hours. Engine 62's crew arrived, supplied Engine 12, and split into two crews, advancing the front 150' bumper line and also assisting with Engine 12's initial attack line. Due to a ruptured fuel tank, Engine 62 also supplied both handlines with foam. Dunkirk Tanker 5 handled Water Supply. Units from the Huntingtown VFD operated on the scene until 0921 hours.
