April 30, 2009 at 1654 hours, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6B (Thrasher), Chief 6C (Morris), and Engine 62 (Robison) were alerted for the building fire at 565 Keith Lane. Units arrived to find fire showing from Side "A" of a one-story commerical end of the row building. This immediately brought Engine 61 (Lt Grierson) first due to the Working Fire Dispatch. Engine 62 (2nd due) laid out to the rear of the building, ran the 200' line into Side "C" and extinguished a large portion of the fire with Engine 51. Engine 61 picked up Engine 62's line and opened up vertically with two large vent holes on the roof. Additionally, Huntingtown units assisted with overhaul once the bulk of the fire was knocked down. The Huntingtown VFD remained on the scene until 1858 hours.
