Less than 10 days after placing in service Command 6, the Huntingtown VFD is pleased to announce that Brush 6 was placed in service yesterday afternoon. The entire unit was outfitted by Winsteads Fire Equipment. Brush 6 is a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4WD Extended Cab. It holds a Vortec 6.0L V8 Engine, Duramax 6.6 Diesel. The transmission is an Allison 1000 6 speed automatic. And the needed requirements: Heat/AC, AM/FM/CD player, power windows, and power mirrors.
In addition, new Tanker 6 (Peterbilt) has an anticipated delivery date of March 15, 2009.
