Monday Feburary 9, 2009 at 1429 hours, Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6C (Morris), Engine 62 (Lt Grierson), and Tanker 6 (Capt Collins) were alerted for the house fire at 6579 10th Street (104 Box). First arriving Huntingtown VFD member, James Bobo quickly made entry into the house and found a room off. With the use of a fire extinguisher and the homeowner's garden hose, he was able to make quick work of the fire and save the house from further damage. The box was quickly scaled back to the North Beach VFD and Huntingtown VFD. Units extinguished all hot spots and overhauled the room of origin. Units from the Huntingtown VFD operated on the scene for 30 minutes.
