By Chief Jonathan Riffe
June 29, 2008

Sunday June 29, 2008 at 1300 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Montgomery), Squad 6 (S/O Bowen), and Ambulance 69 (Gadway, J) were alerted to Route 4 and Chaneyville Road for the overturned vehicle, 501 Box. Units arrived to find a single vehicle overturned with the 3 patients self-extricated. With this information, a 3rd ambulance was requested bringing a 3rd crew from quarters, Ambulance 68 (Muholland). Crews immediately went to work tending to the adult and 2 children. Once accomplished, Squad 6 was directed to the Landing Zone behind Northern Middle School. Both children were transported to a trauma center. The adult was ground-transported by Ambulance 69. Units cleared at 1400 hours.
