| Tuesday June 17th at approximately 1100 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers were alerted for the auto accident at Route 4 and Lower Marlboro Road, bringing Chief 6B (Montgomery), Chief 6C (Hayes), Squad 6 (Cox, C), Engine 62 (Bowen, D), and Ambulance 68 (Bingham). Units arrived to find a two-vehicle "T-bone" collision with a driver pinned in the driver's compartment. The crew from Squad 6 freed and removed the driver's side door with the HURST Maverick tool. The crew from Ambulance 68 packaged and loaded the patient for transport to the Landing Zone (handled by Engine 62).
With three crews out on the street, and only Tanker 6, Brush 6, and Jeep 6 left in the building, a seperate medical was dispatched in Huntingtown bringing an ambulance from Prince Frederick VRS. A 4th crew in quarters staffed Tanker 6 (Sgt Morris) and responded to assist. |
