| 30 minues past midnight on February 22, 2008, Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Nasti), Squad 6 (Montgomery, Jr), and Tanker 6 (Fitzgerald) were alerted for the house fire at 5011 Christianna Parran Road (102 box). Units from Company 1 arrived to find heavy fire presenting itself from the 2nd floor of a split-foyer home. Fortunately, the 1st arriving units were able to make quick work of the fire due to an aggressive interior attack. The crew from Engine 61 and Squad 6 ventilated horizontally and overhauled the residence. Huntingtown units remained on the scene until 0330 hours.
This was only the start of the day which also included two chimney fires, smoke in the building, one auto accident, and the usual assortment of medical locals and needless alarms.
