Three Huntingtown crews operate on Apartment Fire

Just before midnight at 2311 hours on Saturday January 12, 2008, the Huntingtown Volunteers were alerted to 1750 Dares Beach Road for the house fire. Units from Huntingtown alerted were: Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Nasti), Squad 6 (Thrasher), and Tanker 6 (Lt Kerns). While units were en route, Communications advised that it was now a reported garage fire. First arriving Engine 22 arrived with heavy fire showing from a 2 story attached apartment. Engine 61 supplied Engine 22 and advanced a back-up line to the 2nd floor apartment and extinguished two rooms. Squad 6 searched the 2nd floor, secured utilities, checked for extension with the TIC, and handled lighting. Units from Huntingtown remained on the scene until 0047 hours.

With three crews on the street, Squad 5 filled-in our quarters and handled a medical with Ambulance 69.
