Wednesday January 9, 2008 at 1445 hours, Chief 6A (Spriggs), Chief 6B (Montgomery), Engine 61 (Lt Kerns), and Squad 6 (Fitzgerald) were dispatched for the auto fire beside the house at 4170 Bristol Drive. Lieutenant 5 (Sealey) was first to arrive and reported that the home-owner had extinguished the majority of the fire with a garden hose and there was no extension. The box was quickly scaled back to Company 6 units only. The Huntingtown Volunteers arrived, and extinguished the little bit of fire remaining in the engine compartment, dash area, and passenger compartment. Units remained on the scene until 1530 hours awaiting the Fire Investigator.
