Chief 6A, E-61, S-6, A-69: 2nd due Townhouse Fire

Friday January 4, 2008, at approximately 1200 hours, Chief 6A (Spriggs), Engine 61 (S/O Collins), Squad 6 (Capt McKenny) and Ambulance 69 (Charyn) were alerted for the town-house fire at 308 Fairgrounds Road. Units arrived to find smoke showing from a 2nd floor apartment. Once inside, crews were met with fire in the kitchen and extending into the attic and living room. Engine 61's crew advanced a back-up line to the fire room backing up Engine 21. Squad 6's crew, set up PPV, opened up the Exposure "C" building, and assisted with overhaul.
