Sunday December 1, 2007 at 0930 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Spriggs), Engine 62 (Lt Thrasher), and Tanker 6 (Cox, D) were alerted for the house fire in the 3600 block of 27th Street. Units arrived to find smoke showing with a room off on the 2nd floor. A quick knock was made of the fire within minutes. Engine 62 supplied Rescue 1 on the scene before being placed in service and transferred to Company 1 Quarters. With these units out, Ambulance 69 (Fitzgerald) was transferred to Company 5 Quarters. All units returned to service around 1130 hours.
