On Monday April 9, 2007 at 1329 hours, Box 625 was alerted for the Barn Fire on Faith Lane. Several Huntingtown crews immediately hit the street bringing Chief 6A (Spriggs), Engine 61 (Nasti), Engine 62 (Grierson, M), Squad 6 (Lt Thrasher), Tanker 6 (Morris), and Ambulance 69 (D'Amico). Huntingtown units arrived to find one barn fully-involved already on the ground with major extension to a 2nd neighboring barn with the fire threatening a 3rd barn. Huntingtown crews and Engine 11 quickly pulled the 400' attack line, 200' crosslay, and 150' bumper line quickly bringing the fire under control and saving the two exposure barns. The box was quickly held to Company 6, Engine 11, and Tanker 5. The cause of the fire was determined to be a controlled burn that quickly got out of control. Command (Chief 6A) terminated the command at 1437 hours.
