Early morning, Sunday February 18, 2007, with over two dozen members finishing up the monthly Texas-Hold'em Tournament, Box 616 was alerted at 0130 hours for the serious auto accident in front of 800 Dalrymple Road. Leaving only the Tanker in the station, Squad 6 (Nasti), Engine 62 (Lt Thrasher), Engine 61 (Cox, C), Ambulance 68 (Gadway, J), and Ambulance 69 quickly responded with over 20 members along with the Medic Unit. Huntingtown units arrived to find a single-vehicle overturned with several high voltage wires and telephone poles down also. Fortunately, the single patient had self-extricated just minutes prior to our arrival. The patient was quickly packaged and loaded by Ambulance 68. Due to several traumatic injuries, the patient was flown to PG Shock Trauma. Landing Zone was handled by Engine 62. Command (S-6 officer) was terminated at 0224 hours.
**On a side-note, the patient was a brother to one of our member's. Our thoughts and prayers go to their family for a quick recovery!
