This Thursday morning, January 11, 2007 at 0752 hours, Tanker 6 (Hardesty) was alerted to Irving Street in Company 7's first due along with mutual aid units. First arriving units found fire showing from a one-story wood-frame house. Due to this information, the Working Fire Dispatch was alerted bringing Chief 6C (Hayes) and Engine 61 (Rountree, Jr). Crews from Company 7 and Engine 21 made quick work to the fire bringing it under control in minutes. Engine 61's crew assisted the interior with opening up for extension and overhaul.
