Annually, new drivers and potential drivers, travel to Montgomery County's Fire Academy for drivers training. On Sunday November 26, 2006, two crews mounted Engine 61 and Ambulance 69. Afterwards, upon their way home at 1442 hours, Engine 61 (Cooper) and Ambulance 68 (Stewart) pulled upon a serious auto accident at Route 495 and the BW Parkway. Three vehicles were involved with one rolled over. One patient was ejected and another had just self-extricated prior to our arrival. Due to no EMS units on scene, the crews from Engine 61 and Ambulance 68 went to work. Ambulance 68 ended up transporting one patient to the local hospital. Other PG units on-scene included: E-281 (West Lanham Hills), E-352 (Greenbelt) and RE-33 (Kentland). Huntingtown units cleared at 1548 hours.
Shortly after clearing the hospital, Engine 61 and Ambulance 68 pulled upon an accident involving a bus versus a car. Over 40 people were passengers on the bus but fortunately nobody was injured. Huntingtown units cleared minutes later.
