Early this morning, 2 crews boarded Engine 61 and Squad 6 and departed to Baltimore City to honor the life and legacy of our fallen brother, Allen Roberts. FF Roberts was a 19 year veteran of the Baltimore City Fire Department and tragically passed away on the morning of October 10. Roberts was the first firefighter to enter a row-house fire when the 2nd floor suddenly collapsed. Over a 1,000 firefighters from across the nation, including Boston FD and the FDNY traveled to pay their respects.
Mr. Roberts was a true hero and will be truly missed.
