By Assistant Chief Jonathan Riffe
October 12, 2006

On Thursday October 12, 2006, at 1043 hours, the Huntingtown Volunteers, Engine 5 & Tanker 5 (Dunkirk), Engine, Tanker 2 and Tower 2 (Prince Frederick) were alerted to 5750 Stephen Reid Rd for the trailer fire. Minutes later, Chief 6 (Osbourn), Chief 6A (Riffe), Engine 61 (Cooper), Engine 62 (Morris), Squad 6 (Lt Thrasher) and Tanker 6 (Wells, M) arrived on location finding a single-wide trailer 100% involved with fire. Chief 6 established command and the crews from Engine 61 advanced two attack lines bringing the fire under control prior to mutal aid units arriving. Within minutes, Command held the Box to Company 6 units only. The Fire Marshall was requested due to being suspicious in nature and is currently being investigated as arson. Remaining Huntingtown units cleared at 1234 hours.
