After several long hours of work, the Huntingtown Volunteers were approved for additional grant money through MIEMSS and the Highway Safety Transportation Grant system. In previous years, this grant allowed us to purchase and replace (2) new HURST series "O" cutters and a new Maverick Combination tool. Just months ago, this grant also allowed us to replace all of our low pressure and high pressure air bags. Fortunately, due to our good friends, Danielle Dunn (also from Company 10) and Sherry Alban, we were allowed to purchase and replace a new set of 32" HURST Jaws for the Squad. This new set arrived in station today and was placed in service on Squad 6. This set of 32" Jaws is the new lightweight series (HURST ML-32 Spreaders). Thanks to Don Nash and Specialty Rescue for their last minute work and allowing this to happen. This would not have happened if not for the above people. Thanks again.
