On Wednesday October 6, 2004 at 1740 hours, Company 6 (Huntingtown), Company 15 (Navy Base), Company 2 (Prince Frederick), Company 1 (North Beach), and Company 5 (Dunkirk) were alerted for the vehicle into the house with reported fire at 502 Plum Point Road. Chief 6C (C. Spriggs), Engine 61 (F/F J. Dorsey), Engine 62 (Captain L. Patin), Squad 6 (Lt. M. Montgomery), Tanker 6 (F/F D. Morrison) and Ambulance 69 arrived on location and found a pick-up truck that had crashed into a house at the Side One and Side 4 corner. The engine compartment was on fire along with the room it had crashed into. The crew from Engine 61 quickly made work of the fire while the crew from Squad 6 began to check the stability of the house. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed and signed a medical release on the scene. Anne Arundel Collapse Team was initially called for but cancelled later into the incident. A building inspector from the County arrived on the scene and condemned the house. At 1922 hours, Command (Chief 6C) was terminated.
