Engine and Squad Operate on Tractor Trailer Roll Over

On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017, Squad 6 and Ambulance 6 were alerted with units from Prince Frederick Stations 2 and 4, for the motor vehicle collision, involving an overturned tractor trailer, with possible entrapment. Chief 2C (J. Sharpe) arrived and established the Barstow Command and reported that the driver of the tractor trailer was trapped, and also reported a significant diesel fuel leak from the saddle tanks. Squad 6 (Lt. Wallace) and Chief 6B (B. Thrasher) arrived and assisted Rescue Squad 2 with extrication and stabilization, while Ambulance 69 (K. Katzer) transported the trauma patient to awaiting aviation. Engine 61 (J. Threlfall) responded and supplied Engine 21 during Haz-Mat operations.
