Shortly after lunch time rescue box 602 was sounded for the auto accident reported serious. Immediately after dispatch a officer from company 5 arrived and reported a box truck overturned and requested a hazardous materials box due to information received from the driver. Chief 6(Clark), 6A(Morris), 6B(Ward), Squad 6 (Wallace), Engine 62(Small), Tanker 6(Hardesty), and A69(Rodgers) responded. Units arrived to find the truck on its side, driver self extricated, with a significant amount of diesel leaking from the saddle tanks as well as machinery being hauled. The squad and engine worked to control the leak and dam the drainage area. MD SHA, MDE and local law enforcement was requested and responded. The box was held to company 6 units with 15 minutes.
