On Sunday October 11th, Huntingtown VFD held their fire prevention day/ open house for the community. Members performed multiple demonstrations including stove top fires, turkey fryer fires, auto extrication, and simulated house fires with and without sprinkler and smoke detector protection. Other activities included a moon bounce, face painting, free food and cotton candy. Multiple agencies attended and provided information to the public including the Maryland State Police, State Highway Administration, Calvert Memorial Hospital and Prince Frederick Fire Department Tower 2. We would like to thank everyone who attended and a special thanks to the2015 Open House Committee and Captain Sheila Mann for putting together such a successful and educational day for the community.
