Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 1227 hours, units from the North Beach VFD, Huntingtown VFD, Dunkirk VFD & Prince Frederick VFD were alerted for the "Vehicle Fire Next To A House" at 4220 Christiana Parran Road. The alarm brought Engine 61 (Gaylor) & Rescue Squad 6 (Latvala) to the assignment. While enroute, Communications advised that the homeowner reported their vehicle had exploded into flames and was still on fire parked next to their house. In addition, a propane tank was next to the vehicle. First arriving units found a large detached garage & vehicle fully involved, with the majority of the building already burned down. In addition, the propane tank was venting due to the heat. The Huntingtown Volunteers arrived on location and assisted with extinguishing the fire & overhaul. Units from the Huntingtown VFD operated on the scene until 1301 hours.
