9 minutes after midnight on Tuesday August 26, 2014, the Huntingtown VFD Assistant Chief (Morris), Engine 62 (Sgt Morgal) & Tanker 6 (Sgt Miller) were alerted for the Townhouse Fire at 8641 Baywalk Square in Chesapeake Beach (1-06 Box). Shortly after dispatch, units arrived on location at the corrected address of 8611 Addison Bridge Place with fire showing from the rear of a 2-story end of the row townhouse. The Working Fire Dispatch was sounded bringing Safety Officer 6 (McKenny) & Rescue Squad 6 (Stewart). Companies found fire on the first floor, second floor, and attic of the original fire building as well as fire on the first floor, second floor & attic of the D1 Exposure. All units on the fireground aggressively went to work and were able to contain the fire to the original two buildings and prevent it from spreading to the neighboring exposures. The Huntingtown Volunteers operated on the scene until 0235 hours.
