On Thursday August 18, 2005 shortly after 1600 hours, Company 5 (Dunkirk) was alerted for the auto accident north of Route 2 and Wayside Drive. Chief 1B (Gibson) arrived minutes later and advised of a two-vehicle accident, one patient trapped and that the incident was actually in Company 6's area. Due to this information, Squad 6 (F/F Nasti) was alerted to the call. Squad 6 arrived on the scene to assist in extrication and was then re-routed to establish the Landing Zone at Route 2 and Wayside Dr for the trapped patient. Squad 6 cleared 40 minutes later.
