On Friday August 13, 2004 at 0948 hours, Company 7 (St. Leonard), Company 2 (Prince Frederick), and Company 6 (Huntingtown) were alerted to 8260 Mackall Road for the house fire.

While units were in route, Communications confirmed that it was a working fire. Engine 71 and Squad 7 arrived on the scene, Side Four with heavy fire showing from a three-story balloon type farm house. Captain 7 (J. Taylor) assumed the Command while the crews pulled two attack lines and advanced them to the third floor where they found two rooms and the attic heavily involved with fire.

Engine 21 arrived on the scene, established Water Supply while their crew assisted Engine 71. Tanker 6 (F/F M. Nasti), Engine 61 (F/F K. Dunn), and Utility 6 (F/F D. Willis) arrived on the scene and also assisted the interior crews with extinguishment of the fire. A total of four attack lines were utilized to extinguish the fire.
