As temps rise, so do heat-related 911 calls. Heat stroke is life-threatening β hereβs what to look for: π¨ Confusion or unconsciousness π¨ Hot, dry, or red skin (no sweating) π¨ Rapid pulse or difficulty breathing π¨ Nausea, vomiting, or seizures π Call 911 immediately β time is critical.
In the meantime: π§ Move the person to a cool area π§ Remove excess clothing π§ Cool them down with water, fans, or ice packs
Stay hydrated, stay cool, and check on those more vulnerable β especially kids, older adults, and outdoor workers. |
