Just one day after a handful of accidents including two overturned vehicles and two people trapped, the Huntingtown Volunteers were at it again. Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 1056 hours, Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6B (Morris), Squad 6, Engine 62 & Ambulance 69 were alerted for the overturned vehicle with one person trapped at Route 4 & Sheckells Road. In addition, units from the Dunkirk VFD were alerted to the run. Units arrived on location and found a vehicle on it's side with the driver trapped. Crews went to work stabilizing the vehicle and deploying several HURST tools to free the trapped occupant. Units returned to service at 1158 hours.
Hours later, the Huntingtown Volunteers were alerted to 4125 Solomons Island Road for the overturned vehicle. Units arrived on location and found a two-vehicle accident with one on it's side. All patients had self-extricated and were transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
