| Monday April 2, 2012, the Huntingtown Volunteers were kept busy with an assortment of calls including 6 vehicle accidents for the day. From those (6) accidents, 2 included overturned vehicles and 1 included two people pinned.
The first accident occurred at 1317 hours with an overturned vehicle at Route 4 & Camaleer Pass. The assignment brought Chief 6 (Riffe), Chief 6A (Montgomery), Chief 6B (Morris), Squad 6 & Ambulance 69. Units arrived on location and found the same with the patient self-extricated.
14 minutes after clearing the above call, units were back out on the street for the auto accident at Route 2 & Wayside Drive. Units from the Huntingtown VFD arrived on location and found 2 vehicles off the road with the driver of each vehicle pinned. The crew from Squad 6 went to work with the HURST Maverick Combo-tool and 32" Jaws to but both doors off freeing the occupants. Both patients were transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital. |
