Michael D. Clark, Jr. serves as the Fire Chief of the Huntingtown VFD&RS. With over 15 years of service in the volunteer fire service, Chief Clark is responsible for the oversight and management.
Chief Clark began his volunteer service in 2002 as a cadet with the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department. In 2006, he was hired by the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department. He has been with the Huntingtown VFD&RS since 2008 and has held the ranks of sergeant, lieutenant, captain, deputy fire chief and fire chief.
Over the years, he has achieved certifications in Firefighter I/II, Fire Instructor I/II, Fire Officer I/II/III and EMT. He has also obtained a broad range of experiences in Calvert County by serving as Co-Chairman of the Chiefs Council, Chairman of the Standards Committee and Chairman of the Run Card Committee. In 2006, he was awarded the Valor Award for his leadership in the Stinnett Road fire.
Chief Clark demonstrates the dedication necessary to ensure that the Huntingtown VFD/RS is prepared to meet the current and future needs of the community.
