| Saturday July 23, 2011 at 0800 hours, Engine 62, Utility 6 and Command 6 (11 volunteers) traveled to the Cove Point LNG Plant in Lusby, MD for a tour of the plant (0800-1300 hours). Many thanks to Huntingtown VFD Captain John Borden and past Chief Terry Cox (current Safety Officer of Cove Point LNG Plant) for coordinating this event.
While 11 Volunteers were touring the plant, Brush 6 (Montgomery, Matt) traveled to the Rod and Reel Marina to salute wounded veterans of the ongoing War in the Middle East. In addition, over 70 Volunteers from neighboring Calvert County departments stood-by for this annual event that began last year. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all the men and women fighting overseas. |
