| Monday July 18, 2011 at 0849 hours, Squad 6 (Montgomery Jr), Engine 62 (Hayden), Ambulance 68 (Bevard) and Ambulance 69 (Luckett) were alerted for the overturned vehicle with entrapment at Route 4 and Sheckells Road. In addition, the assignment brought units from the Dunkirk VFD. The Huntingtown Volunteers arrived 3 minutes later to find a single-vehicle overturned with an elderly female partially pinned inside of the vehicle and also underneath the vehicle. The crew from Squad 6, Engine 62 and Squad 5 immediately went to work with a variety of HURST tools performing a "B-Post Blowout" to the driver side. Once this was accomplished, crews went to work utilizing air bags to free the remaining body from under the vehicle. During the entire extrication, the patient was conscious. However, once the wreckage was lifted from the patient, she lost her pulse and discontinued breathing. Ambulance 68 and the Medic Unit quickly loaded the patient and began the transport to Calvert Memorial Hospital with CPR in progress. Prior to arriving at the hospital, Ambulance 68 was able to regain a pulse on the patient. She was later flown to Med Star for further evaluation. Units from the Huntingtown VFD remained on the scene until 0940 hours. Squad 6: B Thrasher, M Montgomery Jr, D Smith, J Hildwine, D Wallace, A Williams
