It brings great sorrow to announce the passing of a well-known child. Yesterday July 2, 2011 at 0530 hours, Hunter Scott, a 7 year old boy passed away with his parents at his bedside. 3 years ago, a large mass was found on the right side of his brain. It was later diagnosed as "Supretentorial PNET" a type of cancer. Through the past 3 years, Hunter had undergone chemotherapy and numerous other tests to fight the cancer. If there was ever any child that you would find as a fighter, Hunter was one. He faught cancer until the bitter end. SEVERAL benefits (dozens and dozens) have occurred in the past few years to support Hunter and his family. Just recently on May 15, 2011, the Huntingtown VFD hosted a "Hope for Hunter Yard/Bake Sale" which ended up being a tremendous success: http://www.hvfd6.org/index.cfm?fs=news.newsView&News_ID=969. Hunter Scott is gone but will never be forgotten. He was loved by many and touched the lives of thousands of people. Rest in Peace.
